Jack Ardill is a contemporary artist living in Berry on the South Coast of New South Wales. His work is inspired by the mythology of the Australian bush, “her beauty and her terror”, a mythos deeply ingrained in our national psyche.
Abstract and calligraphic, echoing shapes and patterns observed in nature, he creates acrylic paintings imbued with a sense of mystery and allure, exploring our sense of identity and our uneasy relationship with the natural landscape.
‘Australian Gothic’ will be on display from Thursday the 19th of September until Wednesday the 16th of October and all artworks are available for purchase.
