We are excited to welcome Helen Pain’s newest exhibition, ‘Encounters with Nature’ to The Garden.
“This title explains exactly what this exhibition is. Each painting is a response to a place or an object I have encountered, and that has left an indelible imprint on my memory.
There will be a mix of landscapes and seascapes, still life studies and floral images. Music has also had an unconscious but definite influence on my artistic style. I enjoy painting quickly and freely, in an impressionistic style, using acrylics and mixed media to create texture and interest.” Helen Pain
Helen’s early career in the Arts was in performance as a professional singer. She then became a Creative Arts Consultant with the NSW Department of Education, and for many years was Choral Director and then Associate Director of the prestigious Schools Spectacular.
After retirement, Helen discovered the joy of painting and now spends many happy hours exploring and experimenting with different media, styles and subjects.
Helen has held numerous shared and solo exhibitions and has won many awards, including two prestigious “Best in Exhibition” awards.
