Natalija Vocanec – A Journey Through Art

This exhibition is a visual feast, featuring a variety of artworks that represent the many influences and inspirations that have shaped Vocanec’s work. From her early explorations of the human subconscious mind to her more recent work influenced by natural elements, each piece marks a turning point in her artistic development. Taking inspiration from human emotion and the internal language in our minds, through to an external observation of nature. Nature provides us with an eternal pool of colour and design of breath taking proportions.

But the exhibition is more than just a showcase of Vocanec’s work. Her art practice constantly pushes the boundaries of art making by discovering new techniques and mediums to create more varied and in-depth work. She describes her art journey as a constant tug-a-war of leaps and then regression to achieve a sense of equilibrium. This exhibition has no boundaries, a visually stimulating display of painting techniques, pastels, resins, watercolour and charcoal. It is also a powerful message about the importance of art in our lives. Vocanec believes that art has the power to inspire, to heal, and to make the world a better place. She hopes that her exhibition will encourage others to find their own inspiration through art.

Natalija Vocanec is a local artist and art educator who has been inspiring young artists for over 12 years. In her new exhibition, she takes a departure from the traditional format of an art exhibition to share her artistic journey over the past two decades.
