Returning to The Garden Saturday 11th March is acoustic artist Mike Browne!
“I’m delighted to be playing at The Garden in Berry, and I appreciate hospitality venues which support real life music!
I enjoy many styles of music and have participated in orchestral and instrumental ensembles and a rock band playing brass instruments, singing in choirs, an acapella and a jazz group, and regularly play and sing in Church groups, sing – alongs with friends, and provide interactive music sessions with the elderly.
At The Garden I’ll be playing acoustic guitar and have a wide selection of songs on hand, all of which have ‘real tunes’! I don’t use backing tracks, recording loops or electronic gadgets, just me and my guitar, and maybe a big – end horn on hand for a few tunes.
My ‘go-to’ song lists tend toward ballads from many generations, gentle jazz, old swing songs and contemporary classics.
I’m a bit of a sad-song tragic, but I’ll do some toe-tappers too. I don’t like overly loud music and mine will be conversation – friendly. I enjoy interactive gigs and it would be great to have some singer-alongers!
It’s a lovely venue and it’ll be a great place to spend a spring Saturday afternoon… I hope to see you there!” – Mike Browne
