Renee Kamaretsos – Green Pastures

Renee is a local South Coast Artist and having lived in Europe for several years and travelled extensively, she acquires inspiration from her surroundings to create beautiful contemporary art. She has a great energy and enthusiasm for painting in a variety of different genres and mediums. The freedom of watercolour, the unlimited expanse in seascapes & landscapes, the curves of the human figure are all fundamental elements in the creation of her artworks.

Renee’s inspiration for painting bright landscapes often stems from the beauty of nature itself. The South Coast has that in abundance. Sunny days, blue skies, lush green meadows, the play of light and shadows on tranquil waters… they are the perfect combination to put on canvas. With heavy bold texture and a palette knife, her strokes free up the process to capture the rawness of the land. These scenes evoke feelings of joy and serenity, capturing that perfect day.
