About

The Garden is a social dining venue set in the heart of Berry. Vibrant and bustling, we are a café, restaurant and bar all rolled into one…

Set in a beautiful two-storey heritage building, we are best known for our large, relaxed, garden dining space. Join us for a meal in our dog-friendly, all-weather courtyard or sit back and relax on our outdoor lounges with friends over happy hour drinks and afternoon grazing. Our air-conditioned/heated indoor dining spaces are adorned with artworks by local artists, with exhibitions changing monthly.

Our seasonal menus are created to showcase the best of our local regional produce and include great options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets. We also make sustainable choices wherever possible, from pasture-raised eggs through to composting all of our organic and food waste.

Fully licenced, we offer a carefully curated selection of wines, beers, spirits, cocktails, and a gin and tonic menu that features our very popular house-made tonic water.

We are open for lunch, coffee and cakes Thursday - Monday, happy hour drinks and afternoon grazing Thursday - Saturday, dinner Thursday - Saturday & Monday, as well as brunch Saturday & Sunday.

Live music sessions on Saturday afternoons will be returning shortly, and we will be able to host larger groups with the introduction of our banquet menu for groups up to 50 people.

We love working with, and supporting local suppliers, to bring you the freshest produce available.

At present these businesses include: South Coast Dairy, Mountain Side Meats, Berry Sourdough Bakery, Bakehouse Delights, Kangaroo Valley Pasture Raised Eggs, Fox & Quail Farm, Kangaroo Valley Olives, Daily Grind Coffee, Berry Tea Shop, Tea Journeys, Bees R Us, Berry Chocolatier, Coolangatta Estate, Tertini Wines, Dawning Day Wines, Stoic Brewing, Coal Coast Brewing Co., Headlands Distilling Co, Tara Distillery, as well as many other great local producers.

Saturday Sessions – featuring Dan Challis

South-coast singer/songwriter Dan Challis melds lyrically-driven acoustic folk music, with a story-telling focus. His songs centre on the lived-experience, and befit his troubadour ethos; living out the very life he tells stories about through his music.
