Spread your Wings is an exhibition that explores the wonder and intricacies of Australian coastal landscapes and nature. Natalija’s aerial landscape creations begin with her own drone photography and are crafted using a combination of resin, pigments, mediums, acrylic and oil paints. This idea of ‘aerial perspective’ is further echoed through her exploration of the ‘bird’s eye view’. Within this collection, Natalija has chosen to play with the natural perspective of wild birds, which she captures delicately through the use of watercolour.
“We see what we want to see. My admiration for the beauty that surrounds us in nature grows every day, therefore I feel compelled to create art that represents the vulnerable environment that surrounds us. Thus, my aim is to draw attention to environmental issues that we face today. ” – N. Vocanec
