‘Dreams’ is a journey through layered imagination: lush gardens, underwater worlds, quiet moments of rest, and deep abstract spaces all emerge from playful experimentation and hidden detail. These mixed-media works – combining collage, acrylic, oils and resin – invite slow looking, encouraging viewers to uncover subtle narratives and tiny surprises captured beneath glossy surfaces.
Ranging from intimate 28 x 28 cm pieces to immersive 150 x 85 cm works, the collection celebrates curiosity, transformation, and the wonder found in drifting between what is seen and what is felt. In ‘Dreams’, each artwork becomes a portal – a place where reality softens and the subconscious takes shape.
Gennifer Anderson is a multidisciplinary artist who creates layered, experimental works from a mix of recycled and found materials – wood, paper, ribbon, thread, dried flowers, and more. She embraces the imperfect and the storied, combining them with acrylics, drawing, pastels, oils, and resin or sustainable alternatives like water-based polyurethane.
Her work reflects a love of both the natural and human-made world – flowers, oceans, animals, insects, and unexpected juxtapositions, brought together in playful, surreal, and thought-provoking ways.
For Gennifer, art is about belonging. She hopes her imperfect work speaks to the imperfect heart, offering connection, reflection, and a sense of coming home.
‘Dreams’ is on display from Thursday the 13th of November until Wednesday the 10th of December and all artworks are available for purchase.
